Having returned to his home town of Duisburg the former police detective Schimanski is once again drawn into a complex crime case: A jailed gangster boss asks him to investigate the disappearance of his daughter. His investigations lead Schimanski and his girlfriend Marie-Claire to the street prostitution scene, to the »loverboys« who first seduce young girls in order to, later press them into prostitution – and directly into the arms of his former colleagues investigating a murder case closely related to the missing girl. And in the end all traces lead to Amsterdam. The fans had to wait for more than two years for this, the overall 46th Schimanski case, but it was worthwhile. Written and directed by two veterans of TATORT and Schimanski lore, Jürgen Werner and Kaspar Heidelbach, this dynamic comeback shows a palpably enthusiastic 75-year-old Götz George plunging himself into his old role, in which he is this time supported by a stellar guest cast featuring Anna Loos, Nina Kronjäger and Muriel Wimmer.
