Breaking Bad

TV-Special | USA 2013 | 75' | OV

Walter White (Bryan Cranston) is no longer the inconspicuous chemistry teacher who has to temp at a car wash to make ends meet for his family. Over the course of five seasons, the once clumsy chemist, who took to cooking crystal meth by chance and under financial duress, has evolved into the feared drug lord Heisenberg, who goes to any bloody lengths to achieve his goals. Employing a visual storytelling style that steers clear of clichés in its build-up of suspense, BREAKING BAD has won seven Emmys and several other awards to date. Lead actor Bryan Cranston (ARGO) alone picked up three Emmys for his brilliant performances from 2008 to 2010. BREAKING BAD enthralls audiences especially because of the moral issues at stake behind the action. A mere 42 hours after the on-air premiere in the US, broadcaster AXN and the Cologne Conference jointly present the season finale to the festival audience at Cologne.
