The film captures the adventures of the British Electro-Pop-Band and a coach of fans during their U.S.-tour and final sold-out concert at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena (California). Pennebaker and Hegedus, »children« of the sixties, weren’t familiar at all with the band and their synthetic music. Step by step and always with the camera slung over the shoulder, they approached this new youth culture and said later:»One of the best summers we spent filming.« (Pennebaker/Hegedus).
