A MAN AND A CAMERA
Filmmaker Guido Hendriks has knocked on several hundred doors in the Netherlands, his camera always on his shoulder. When someone opened their door, he just remained silent. The reactions are predictable at first: Most people want to know what’s going on, some get aggressive over their disturbed privacy – but some have gone so far as to invite the silent stranger into their home. What at first seems like a bad stunt quickly turns into a revealing and surprising film about human differences.
