In 1978 German rock’n’roll artist Marius Müller-Westernhagen published his debut album „Mit Pfefferminz bin ich dein Prinz“, which has gone on to garner cult status. 40 years later he interprets these ten songs anew. It’s everything but a nostalgic project: He’s interested in the challenge to bring these pieces into today’s world. This documentary watches him at work in the studio, but also talks to him about re-experiencing this album. And witnesses from the time of the original release, like Joschka Fischer, Iris Berben and Hape Kerkeling, explain what “Pfefferminz” meant to them.
