Zombies go on a rampage on a movie set – but that’s not the only disaster brewing here. Michel Hazanavicius has already crafted humorous homages to the silent movie era (with Oscar winner THE ARTIST) and the spy thriller (with OSS 117), so here he turns his mind to the horror genre. The less you know before watching his remake of the Japanese surprise success ONE CUT FROM THE DEAD, the better. But one fact can be spoiled: Stay until the very end to be rewarded with plenty of insightful moments, and you’ll be surprised at how moving and funny a splatter movie can be.
