GHOST ELEPHANTS

A man on an impossible mission in the jungle – Werner Herzog has once again found a protagonist who seems tailor-made for him: for a decade now, South African biologist Dr. Steve Boyes has been searching for a herd of very special elephants in the vast highlands of Angola. With Herzog and the best Namibian trackers, he sets off once more, but an essential question arises: Wouldn’t it maybe be better to regard these giant elephants as dreams, as ghosts, rather than trying to find them in reality?
