Gigi is plus-size, and isn’t particularly unhappy with it – that is, until her boyfriend puts her into a “fat camp” instead of the promised couples wellness retreat. But in spite of the first shock Gigi finds new friends there – and learns so much more than just how to lose weight. Aylin Kockler’s concept for HÜBSCHES GESICHT won the first RTL “Storytellers” competition – and thanks to a loveable ensemble and snappy direction with its very dry sense of humour, the resulting mini series is clearly a winner, too.
