MASTERCLASS CASTING: SUSANNE RITTER

The right casting lays the foundation for the artistic and commercial success or failure of any fictional film. As such it holds a decisive function, with its special responsibility increasingly getting into focus in recent years: How can the right casting help to establish diversity and inclusion in front of the camera? Susanne Ritter opened her casting office in Cologne in 2004. Ever since she has cast dozens of films, from debut features to international productions like Lars von Trier’s NYMPHOMANIAC and recently ALL RUSSIANS LOVE BIRCH TREES. In 2013 Ritter won the German Casting Award.
