The job of the prosthetics and make-up artist for film and TV requires a wide array of technical and artistic skills – from first concepts via the crafting process to application, hairstyling and special effects. With the resolution of digital cameras steadily improving, quality demands for make-up and prosthetics have risen tremendously. How has the job description changed? In this masterclass the experienced make-up artist Elke Hahn will be interviewed by German Film Academy member Joachim Ortmanns about her work in TV and cinema. Hahn can look back on a successful career working, amongst many other projects, on arthouse movies like STYX, STEREO and KIDS RUN.
