MY CHILDHOOD, MY COUNTRY – 20 YEARS IN AFGHANISTAN
Mir Hussein was only eight years old when Phil Grabsky and Shoaib Sharifi started to capture his everyday life on film. Twenty years after being a cheerful Afghan boy living with his family in a cave, he now is a husband and father of three who works as a cameraman himself in Kabul. He tries to remain an optimist, although the security situation steadily declines. This moving long-term documentary shows the real life behind the dramatic but surface-level news coverage.
