PUTAIN

PUTAIN has already been described as the Belgian version of EUPHORIA. The miniseries, partly inspired by the story of Brussels rapper Zwangere Guy, may offer less glamour than the US series, but it provides a more realistic picture of young people in a big city, caught between everyday school life and delinquency. Seventeen-year-old Gigi discovers that his mother is dating her ex again, with whom she shared not only a love affair but also a drug addiction. Gigi runs away from home and initially stays with a friend. Full of anger, he must find his way in a confusingly complex world.
