An ageing US film director in Rome tries to finally get a grip on his life, just for his young family's sake alone. An addiction counselling group, yoga routines, a new movie project – everything seems to point towards a brighter future. But will Tomasso be able to hold his darker impulses at bay? After three documentaries bad boy director Abel Ferrara (BAD LIEUTENANT) is back with this clearly autobiographically inspired film, which features a brilliant performance by Willem Dafoe as a charismatic artist riddled with self-doubt.
