The International Actors Award honors individuals who have gained recognition and acclaim in international film and television through outstanding acting performances. Endowed with €10,000, the award is presented by Network Movie and MMC Studios Cologne. In 2025, the prize was awarded to actress Maren Eggert.
Maren Eggert is one of the most distinctive actresses in contemporary German cinema and theatre. Born in 1974 in Hamburg, she trained at the Otto Falckenberg School in Munich and gained diverse early stage experience in Bochum, Zurich, and elsewhere. She was a member of the Thalia Theater ensemble in Hamburg for nearly ten years. Since the 2009/10 season, she has been a permanent ensemble member of the Deutsches Theater in Berlin.
