After last year's premiere the NRW Media Award for Sustainable Development and Engagement will once again be awarded together with the state of North Rhine-Westphalia. The prize honors outstanding and successful examples of moving image campaigns in social media with the content developmental engagement, Global South and Global Goals. The three endowed prizes of 5,000 EURO, 3,000 EURO and 2,000 EURO were awarded to the campaigns Uncensored Library (Reporters without Borders), #WeekforClimate (Fridays for Future), #StreamforWater (Viva con Agua).
The award ceremony takes place on October 27 following the Global Day 2021.
