„I am Greta“ – this is how the world's most prominent teenager starts almost every speech. In August of 2018 15-year-old student Greta Thunberg from Sweden starts a school strike for climate. At first she's not taken seriously and is even harshly criticized by politicians, parents and press; but within the shortest of times the world-wide youth movement “Fridays For Future” developed around her. This is a cinematic close-up portrait of the young girl with Asperger's, featuring unique and private footage. It accompanies her from the very first days of her school strike until her spectacular ocean voyage to the climate summit in New York.
