Call Me By Your Name

17-year-old Elio (Timothée Chamalet) spends the summer with his education-minded bourgeois parents in an old, rural villa in Northern Italy, wandering the premises bored. That quickly changes when his father's new assistant comes to join them. Oliver (Armie Hammer), a 24-year-old American full of self-esteem, slightly resembles the antique statues that Professor Perlman is studying. He's also a bright guy who doesn't only appeal to his parents, but pretty soon to Elio, too. Italian filmmaker Luca Guadagnino (I AM LOVE, A BIGGER SPLASH) adapts André Aciman's novel of the same name together with co-author James Ivory (MAURICE) into a sensual summer romance, which hits the right tone in every scene. Already a queer cinema classic.
