IN FABRIC

Anyone who thought that last year's SUSPIRIA remake strayed too far away from the original spirit of the Giallo genre, should take a chance on Peter Strickland's IN FABRIC. Drenched in colorful images reminiscent of the works of  Dario Argento or Mario Bava, it tells the story of a cursed dress that brings doom to its wearers. With this tongue-in-cheek, anti-capitalist horror movie the British director once again establishes himself as simultaneously one of the original filmmakers as well as one of the most conscious of tradition.
