Filmmaker Marie is now the same age as her mother was when she died of cancer – and her daughter is the same age as Marie was then. When she receives a crate of old photographs and film material from her inheritance, Marie has to come to terms with her turbulent childhood and youth. Documentary filmmaker Petra Seeger’s (IN SEARCH OF MEMORY) first fiction feature is a deeply personal affair full of symbolic imagery, hauntingly beautiful camera work and overlapping time frames.
