WDR-Premiere: Nach uns die Sintflut

The green, marshy plains of northern Germany are changed overnight into a ghostly water desert. Glaciers melting in Antarctica have triggered gigantic floods that reach all the way into the North Sea and submerge large parts of northern Germany. NACH UNS DIE SINTFLUT, staring Leslie Malton and Hanns Zischler, is in the tradition of WDR TV movies dealing with the social effects of environmental destruction. The focus is on the Greenpeace battle against an ignorant bureaucracy, and on the way environmental problems are mindlessly put aside in everyday life.
