MAD MAX actor Tom Hardy is stunning as a bald, moustached mountain of prison muscles, with his obvious relishing of his exuberant, threatening aura reminiscent of Malcolm McDowell's spectacular stand-out role in A CLOCKWORK ORANGE. The jarring use of pop music is another aspect that evokes Stanley Kubrick's milestone picture.
