Germany's most populous federal state has long been one of Europe's major film centers and this year's program once again includes enormously strong productions with a connection to NRW. Thirteen films alone will compete for the coveted NRW Film Prize in 2023 and show how well and diversely global stories are told on the Rhine and Ruhr.
