Two young women try to start a new life for themselves – but the traumatic events of the recent past aren't that easy to shake off. „Exceptionally crafted“, was Variety's verdict on Kantemir Balagov's (TESNOTA) sophomore film, which earned the only 28-year-old the directing award in Cannes' Un Certain Regard section. It's a film both relentlessly honest and poetical and will linger in the mind for a long time.
