At his wife's insistence, an unsuccessful puppeteer takes a job with a bizarre company on the mezzanine floor of an office building. One day he discovers a portal behind a filing cabinet that transports him directly into the head of actor John Malkovich, where he can see through his eyes for fifteen minutes. While his wife is sexually aroused by the experience, the puppeteer makes a deal with his superior about the discovery.
