The Minders

Baghdad, in the days of the crisis about UN weapons inspectors. Hundreds of foreign correspondents are in town waiting for the war to begin and each and every one of them gets a »Minder« from the Iraqi Information Ministry to stand by them, support them linguistically or culturally in their work and – who would think it? – keep them away from those »no-go areas«. BBC author Sean McAllister is hot on the heels of two such Minders. As it turns out, one of them is pretty nice guy, a football fan actually. The other loves women and ice cream.
