You’ve never seen Venice like this. Instead of filming channels and gondolas, video artist Yuri Ancarani turns his camera on the youths living out their passion for fast motorboats on the islands around the laguna. The main character is Daniele who wants to have the fastest barchino around and likes to race the police – with a boat full of marijuana packages. Or is that just a dream? Starting of as a documentary, the film turns into a colorful fantasia of testosterone-fuelled self-empowerment.
