Concert & Film: GIFT

A very special evening: composer and multi-instrumentalist Eiko Ishibashi performs live to accompany Ryūsuke Hamaguchi’s silent film THE GIFT. This is a continuation of their successful cooperation, which began with Hamaguchi’s Oscar winner DRIVE MY CAR. THE GIFT was created from the material the Japanese filmmaker shot for his new feature film EVIL DOES NOT EXIST (see p. ??), which was awarded in Venice. It centres on a village near Tokyo where traditional ways of life are threatened by plans for a posh campsite.
