The small US town of Karmack seems cursed with accidents and lethal mishaps. So the town's governing troika appoint the quiet Frank as a bearer of all bad news. But after an enthusiastic start to his new profession, the collective misfortune starts to go to Frank’s head. Seven-years after 1001 GRAM Norwegian master auteur Bent Hamer is back and hasn’t lost a step. His second feature set in the US is a laconic satire about a society in decline, with perfidious humour and some truly dark turns.
