UN MONDE

The original title “A World” points towards a special feature in Laura Wandel’s debut film: it delves completely into the world of children. From the point of view of first grade schoolgirl Nora we see her brother being bullied by his classmates. Nora tries to help, but her brother knows that this will only lead to even more trouble for him. And any help from the adult world seems very far away. Kids can be very cruel – and there's hardly ever been a film that showed this to be true as vividly as this one.
