The Power of Images - I’ve Seen the Future and It Will Be!
We all consume moving images in the form of movies, Insta stories, news feeds or as a medium for political activism. We produce them ourselves and become our own audience. In the art world the borders between persona, social media avatar and follower have already dissolved. But what mechanisms are at work here? Where do those narrative constellations and associations interact between cinema, TV and social media? Which current tools give the images such power and what does that imply for narrative filmmaking today?
