European Work in Progress Cologne (EWIP)
European Work in Progress Cologne is an industry event with the aim of connecting international cinema film projects in production with distributors, sales agents, festivals and other creative partners.
Around 30 carefully selected European (co-)productions will be presented by meaningful excerpts to the attending audience.
An expert jury consisting of Olivier Barbier (Head of Acquisitions, mk2 films), Vanja Kaludjercic (Head of the International Film Festival Rotterdam), Julien Rejl (Artistic Director, Cannes Director's Fortnight), Saralisa Volm (Producer, Director, Author and Actress) and Thanassis Karathanos (producer TWENTY TWENTY VISION in Berlin, PALLAS FILM in Halle) will award prizes for the best pitches worth around 60,000 EUR.
Award sponsors are K13 Studios, MMC Film & TV Studios, LAVAlabs Moving Images with post-production services and mm filmpresse with international festival PR as well as Torino Film Lab with the EWIP TorinoFilmLab Audience Design Award, which will be presented for the first time this year. In addition, the newly created EWIP Dolby Award, EWIP Gruvi Awards and the EWIP Way Film Translation Award will be presented in 2022, and three winning films will be honored with five EWIP Crew United Certificates.
European Work in Progress Cologne is significantly supported by the Film- und Medienstiftung NRW and takes place in cooperation with the FILM FESTIVAL COLOGNE and the AG Verleih - Association of German independent film distributors.
Panel discussions and case studies in cooperation with the Creative Europe Desks Germany as well as networking events complete the program.
