What constitutes a family? That’s the question that’s once again on Japanese filmmaker Hirokazu Koreeda’s (SHOPLIFTERS) mind, as he directs his first movie in South Korea, featuring PARASITE star Kang-ho Song. Song plays a man who, with an accomplice’s help, steals babies from a »baby hatch« to give them to childless couples. One motive is money, but they also want to save the kids from growing up in an orphanage. On their tour through Korea these two empathetic thieves attract a completely new family of outcasts.
