FOSSIL

FOSSIL tells the story of Michael, a steadfast coal miner who has worked on a bucket-wheel excavator for 40 years. Now the coal phase-out is to be implemented and Michael can't stand being made redundant. He resists the all-powerful change of times. Trapped in his doggedness, he increasingly loses support, even in his family. Following the screening, director Henning Beckhoff, producer Jost Hering and co-producer Andreas Brauer will talk about the making of the award-winning drama.
