At least 13 women were murdered by the serial killer Peter Sutcliffe, dubbed the “Yorkshire Ripper” in the tabloid press, between 1975 and 1980. This British mini-series traces the long search for the killer on the basis of extensive research. As in David Fincher’s ZODIAC, it is also about what the arduous investigative work does to the police officers involved in it in an England struggling with inflation and economic depression in the second half of the 1970s.
