For their 88th case, legendary Cologne investigative duo Ballauf and Schenk take a look into the investment firm Concreta, that talks unsuspecting investors into buying expensive portfolios and makes endless money. But the armed mutiny of their best salesman, a murdered consumer protection lawyer and a kidnapping all show that the system is out of control. In a temporally fragmented narrative full of flashbacks, this complex, melancholic crime film describes a perfidious system that creates money from destroying human lives.
