THE LAST TAPE FROM BOSNIA
Sifa Suljic fled to Spain with her baby daughter during the Balkan wars. She returns to Bosnia after 25 years to trace back the fate of her family and the last videotape they sent her before vanishing in the Srebrenica genocide. What starts out as a heart-breaking documentary about a life and a family destroyed by war soon gets wider implications. Sifa experiences how unresolved this conflict still is to this day and how horrific this lack of reprocessing can be on a personal and a societal scale.
