AN URBAN ALLEGORY

In his famous allegory of the cave, Plato describes prisoners in a cave who, with their backs to the entrance, can only see shadows moving on the walls and believe this to be the reality. The philosopher ponders what would happen if one of the prisoners managed to escape. In their short film, directors Alice Rohrwacher and JR ask themselves what would happen if this prisoner were Jay, a little seven-year-old boy from Paris. We are showing the film together with IT'S NOT ME by Leos Carax, who can be seen as an actor in AN URBAN ALLEGORY.
