BLUE/RED/DEPORT - PICKNICK IN MORIA

Art as a means of survival in the face of hopelessness: documentary filmmaker Lina Lužyte portrays Afghan artist Talib Shah Hosini who is stranded with his family in the overcrowded Greek refugee camp of Moria. In order to stay sane he writes, directs and produces a feature film about a fictional refugee family. Production is predictably chaotic, and the deadly outside threat of arson always looms over the camp, but with all its harsh critique on Europe's asylum policy, this is also a story of redemption and possibly salvation.
