The scandal’s over, but not forgotten: Twenty years ago, Gracie, then in her mid-30s, left her husband for a 13-year-old named Joe. Today the two still live together and their story is to be made into a film. Famous TV actress Elizabeth Berry is slated to play the lead role – and perhaps delves a little too deeply into the lives of the unequal couple. Julianne Moore and Natalie Portman are perfectly cast for another dazzlingly ambiguous melodrama about a forbidden love by Todd Haynes.
