The apocalypse has come. Two couples are stuck in a cabin in Ireland and do not know how to handle the situation. While the audience is never told what exactly has transpired, there has obviously been a total collapse of order in the outside world. Armed individuals roam the streets in search of food, and the police no longer provide any protection either. Every man for himself. In his debut feature film, Irishman Conor Horgan does without any computer effects, and with a budget of only a few hundred thousand euros, what Hollywood would have spent hundreds of millions on: ONE HUNDRED MORNINGS is a captivating post-apocalyptic thriller with a lingering effect, because the audience only receives the most crucial bits of information at any given point in time. Horgan focuses on the psychology of his major characters rather than on action and explosions. The film becomes a nerve-wracking intimate play that sees its protagonists gradually shedding the trappings of civil conduct.
