VIENNA CALLING

Documentary filmmaker Philipp Jedicke follows his protagonists from the rooftops to the sewers, from the farms to the concert halls. They are Viennese underground artists and musicians who are at home in smoky pubs and neon-lit studios – but in this “docu-musical” everyone is a star. As in his debut SHUT UP AND PLAY THE PIANO, for which he accompanied the dazzling Chilly Gonzales, the line between reality and (self-)staging is once again playfully blurred.
