Good Time

Robert Pattinson was never better – this was the critic's consensus at this year's Cannes Film Festival. In GOOD TIME he portrays small-time crook Connie who robs a bank with his mentally challenged brother Nick, who gets arrested while on the run afterwards. Connie desperately tries to come up with the bail money since he knows Nick won't survive long in jail. The brothers Josh and Benny Safdie (HEAVEN KNOWS WHAT) have created a breathless New York thriller with the same intensity and street smart realism as the best genre flicks of the 70s and 80s. Especially, the pulsating electronic score by Oneohtrix Point Never is reminiscent of the legendary Tangerine Dream scores.
