After rehab, Rona returns to Scotland’s windswept Orkney Islands for the first time in more than ten years. As she rediscovers the dramatic landscape in which she grew up, memories of her childhood intermingle with the recent events that have set her on the road to recovery. Nora Fingscheidt (SYSTEM CRASHER) adapts Amy Liptrot’s autobiographical novel “Nightlights” into a film with an as always wonderful Saoirse Ronan, who delivers a tour-de-force performance here.
