THE RETURN OF THE PROJECTIONIST

Former projectionist Samid has a dream: he wants to open a movie theatre in his village in the hills of Azerbaijan. He already has a location and an analogue projector: all he needs is a working projector lamp and a film to screen. Samid gets help from Ayaz, who is two generations younger and likes to make movies with his cell phone. But the unlikely pair still have to overcome a number of hurdles and setbacks. A wonderful ode to friendship and the magic of cinema – even if not all the villagers feel it.
