After surviving a plane crash in the Amazon rainforest as a child, Rebecca is helping her missionary father. When illegal loggers clash with the natives from a nearby indigenous village, they are both forced to take sides. Writer and director Pia Marais crafts a sensitive drama from immersive and breathtaking shots of nature – for a film that never simplifies the relationship between man and nature, between whites and indigenous people and also between father and daughter, but deals with it in all its complexity.
