GOEBBELS AND THE FÜHRER

In these times, as large sections of society can no longer agree even on the facts, this docu-drama about a master media manipulator could not be more timely. Using a mixture of documentary footage and staged scenes, the film describes the unstoppable rise and distorted philosophy of the Nazi minister for propaganda Joseph Goebbels and his radical film machine. Robert Stadlober delivers a disturbingly powerful performance, disappearing completely into the character and his linguistic and physical mannerisms.
