Often times the whining and moaning about the state of German cinema drowns out the fact how active and successful the production companies from this area really are. There are many renowned international projects being initiated and financed here, and in both fiction and documentary young local filmmakers enjoy success and renown in the highest echelons of the industry, with regular invitations to Cannes, Venice, Berlin and Sundance for their latest works. To celebrate these achievements and provide a space for exchange, NRW's independent producers invite you this year to the Kunsthaus Rhenania.
