Female singer K is found dead: naked, head shaved, with deep incisions in the armpit and crotch areas. Her death is just the beginnning of a brutal series of murders shaking the Lower Rhine region. Profiler Nadja Simon's investigations take her into the past of five boarding school pupils: Roman Seliger and his wife Elena, the shy Daniel, the brothel owner Butsche, and Moritz, who is living in Paris as a perfume creator. The secret connnecting these pupils becomes increasingly clear: On their search for power and love they all experimented with the secret of human smell. But which one of them would be willing to kill for it?
