SXSW®-NIGHT: THUNDER ROAD

For the sixth time, the Film Festival Cologne presents a night dedicated to the South by South West® in Austin, Texas, the worldwide unique festival for music, film and interactive media. This year we are screening the winner of the main festival award in the film category: THUNDER ROAD. Director Jim Cummings himself stars as a US cop in his thirties, who's life goes slowly off the rails. He believes that he did nothing wrong and is a nice guy. But in reality he never really stopped being a child – and that's where a lot of his problems come in. It's a film that's in turn tragic and funny and tells a lot about a type of character that's very much in the focus right now: the angry white male.
