Masterclass Production Design Babylon Berlin

Organized by the Deutsche Filmakademie in cooperation with the Film Festival Cologne

Uli Hanisch is one of Germany's best-known production designers. He has had a long working relationship with director Tom Tykwer, designing, amongst others, sets for movies like PERFUM, CLOUD ATLAS and A HOLOGRAM FOR THE KING. He was responsible for overseeing all the designs in the 16-part series BABYLON BERLIN, one of the most expensive German productions of all time, set in 1920s Berlin. His colleague Thorsten Sabel was responsible for the set designs of the parts set in North Rhine-Westphalia. Together they will take us on a fascinating journey behind the scenes of BABYLON BERLIN.
